Battle of Britain 1940, Germany begins bombing Britain – Germany wanted to weaken them enough to be able invade Britain by sea – The Royal Air Force (RAF) had a secret weapon- radar to spot German planes coming in Hitler cancelled his invasion plans, both sides continued to bomb each other’s cities
