28 Model Parameters Village population in families (households) is equal to the number of houses; Basic shelter kit provides 24m 2 of shelter, sufficient for 6 persons at the WHO/UNHCR standard of 4m 2 living space per person; Undamaged and slightly damaged houses require no assistance and can accommodate up to 3 families; Moderately and severely damaged houses can house up to 3 families with 1 basic shelter kit per family; 30% of moderately damaged houses and 100% of severely damaged houses will require a roofing kit; Destroyed houses (UNHCR 5, IMG IV) cannot be repaired. Priority is given to villages above 2,000ft altitude or more than 2km from a main road.
