A poem is a tapestry of sound as well as meaning. Sound:Poem :: Color:Painting Thematic use of sounds add to the aestheticism of a piece. Rhyme isn’t the only way to incorporate repeating sounds.

Definition: when words with the same starting sounds sit side by side.

Definition: repetition of a certain consonant sound throughout a written piece. Does not have to be in any particular part of each word Although if it follows a pattern of being in the stressed or unstressed parts, that’s even more awesome. Ex. The fox built clocks from bricks and blocks.
