31. What is a Hypothesis? A hypothesis isn't an educated guess. It is a tentative explanation for an observation or scientific problem that can be tested by further investigation Can you test those? Some say its an educated guess? Think of some examples…

32. How to write a Hypothesis How does this sound? Bacterial growth may be affected by temperature. How can you prove that? If temperature is increased then bacterial growth will increase

35. Qualitative Quantitative Data Qualitative → Quality Deals with descriptions. Data can be observed but not measured. Colors, textures, smells, tastes, appearance, beauty, etc. Quantitative → Quantity Deals with numbers. Data which can be measured. Length, height, area, volume, weight, speed, time, temperature, humidity, sound levels, cost, members, ages, etc.
