Lack of Fresh Water By Christopher Wong and Benjamin Bearce
2
Why is Lack of Fresh Water a Problem? Dehydration Plants will die Countries make fight over water resources People and Animals will die
3
Why is it Important Water is important for heath 780 million people lack access to an improved water source; approximately one in nine people. 3.41 million people die each year from water, sanitation and hygiene-related causes each year. An American taking a five-minute shower uses more water than the average person in a developing country slum uses for an entire day.

Causes of Dehydration Can be caused by losing too much fluid Not drinking enough fluid Or both
7
Plants Will Die without Fresh Water Plants need water to survive. Plants need water to grow. Without plants there is no green chlorophyll.
8
People and Animals Will Die Food Cycle: domino effect Fish is an animal that may die The bear live off of fish and may die as a result

Solutions Conservation Ways to conserve water - Use it wisely - Recycle water by removing the non-drinkable substances from salt water - Don’t leave the hose running - Take shorter showers Desalination -Refers to any several processes that remove some amount of salt from saltwater. -The significance is that Humans cannot drink salt water because high concentrations of salt interfere with nerve conduction and are hypertonic, meaning that they sap water out of the cells.
13
Solutions continued Recycle Gray Water - Uses ground water to function, It filters water from bathroom, laundries and showers.
