The National Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council NEMSAC 24 Member Advisory Committee Representatives from every sector of EMS Members appointed by the Secretary of Transportation for 2-year terms Meet 3-4 times per year to discuss national EMS issues Chair Subcommittees Finance Safety Systems Education and Workforce Medical Oversight and Research Provides input to NHTSA Office of EMS Provides input to FICEMS through NHTSA Office of EMS

The National Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council Federal Interagency Committee on EMS Created by Congress in 2005 Representation from 10 different Federal agencies and an appointed State EMS Director DOT HHS DHS DoD FCC Two or three in-person meetings annually
