6 Read each sentence, looking for words that give clues about the audience. Explain what the clues tell you about the people who might be reading the information.  One of the most important things to remember about a bike is where the wheels are.  The audience probably does not know a lot about bicycles. 1. If the levers are not compatible with linear pull brakes, be sure to use caliper or canti brakes. 2. Be sure to turn left at the fork in the road, steering clear of the bridge to the right.

7 Read this sentence from The Wright Brothers: A Flying Start. Then answer the question. “Orville tried other money-making schemes, such as collecting bones for fertilizer plant, gathering old wood and metal for a junkyard, and even putting on a circus.” What does the sentence tell you about the audience for the selection?
