4 Delivering homes that are affordable for Londoners in ordinary jobs –Area focus means owner-occupation will be within reach –Aiming for significant numbers of First Steps homes Marketing restrictions in line with Concordat –Potential to restrict sales to owner-occupiers, who will be resident in London HOMES FOR LONDONERS

5 WHAT IS ON OFFER? Delivery Framework Housing Zone £400m Tailoring of policies Evidenced proposals considered

6 20 Housing Zones –Primarily expected to be in Opportunity Areas Initially deliver at least 50,000 homes with an aspiration to deliver more in the longer-term –Up to 100,000 jobs Flexible funding - £400m –£200m allocated from GLA housing capital budgets –£200m HMT recoverable investment WHAT & WHERE?

7 Boroughs bid – showing commitment and offering ‘something-for-something’ Flexibility in timing –GLA ready to assess bids as soon as they are ready –Prioritise early outputs but also offer long-term support Designation will involve agreement of firm contractual targets and strong governance oversight HOW WOULD THEY WORK?
