S OWETO S LUMS About 3 kilometers by 1 kilometer in size. Around 2 years ago, there were approximately 200,000 people living in this tiny area. Eighteen percent of people living here have AIDS. The inhabitants lack food, clothing, education, and good shelter.

REQUIRED FUNDS It costs $100 per child for one year of schooling. This includes a uniform, an education, and one meal a day (during school). We would like to sponsor 50 children. Therefore, we have to raise $5,000. To reach this goal we would like everyone in the school to donate, in some way, $5.

C OMMUNITY H ELP We would like to have schools, churches, or businesses sponsor one child a year for $100. That’s $8.33 a month. Twice a year the sponsors will get an email containing the following information: An update on the school’s progress A personal letter from one of the class’ 7 students. Updated photos of the school and students.
