1 Portfolio Check Chemistry I and Honors 3 rd 9 weeks 2014-15 This is due by Wednesday, March 3, 2015

2 Scoring Your portfolio will be graded on –Neatness –Completeness –Organization It will be worth a maximum of 35 points and it will be due by: 3.11.2015

3 Neatness Everything should be filed (except current assignments – which can go in the front pocket of your portfolio) in a section –Do not place sheets in a pocket divider! The Course Syllabus must be right on top and visible (with your name on it) when the portfolio is opened You must use dividers (A-reference, B- Notes&HW, C-Labs, D-Misc.)

4 Completeness Your portfolio must contain these sections The sections must have dividers and must be labeled –Syllabus (showing your name) on top (nothing on top of this) –Reference Section (right after Syllabus) –B -- Homework/Notes Section –C -- Lab Rules/Handouts/Writeups Section –D -- Miscellaneous Section

5 Organization All sheets/papers must be hole punched and be in the rings Put sheets in order and in the appropriate section – newest at back Put sheets for each chapter together (paper clip is okay) if desired

6 “A” Reference Section Contents Syllabus with your name showing (ON TOP) Frey Periodic Chart (“PC”) Science – Measurement & Math Valley Sheet / Metric Prefixes/Conversion tables Sig Fig Ref Sheet Long Chem I Reference Sheet PC with electron location Ion charts and PC with oxidation #s Gas Law Reference sheet
