In 2012 35.7% (1/3) of U.S. Adults were obese. In 2010, 18% of U.S. children and adolescents were obese. In 2009-2010, over 78 million U.S. adults and about 12.5 million U.S. children and adolescents were obese. 16-18 % of elementary school children are joining the ranks of being overweight or seriously overweight.
