Turners Syndrome (TS) Shanae Ikeea Scott

TS people have a lost or a partial absence of the second X chromosome (Nondisjunction). TS occurs in approximately 1 out of every 2,000 to 2,500 births. TS prevents the female body from developing properly. Some common symptoms of TS: Short stature, flat feet, scoliosis, droopy eyes, and swollen feet. Women with TS have normal intelligence but may have problems like spatial-temporal processing, learning disabilities, social skills, and focusing. TS women have a short window of becoming pregnant. Pregnancy is at a very high risk, many if not all would need to be on a fertility treatment ( Pregnancy is an unlikely occurrence) Overview

Women generally live full lives if they are practicing healthy lifestyles, such as getting regular check-up’s. No cures, but there are many treatments such as taking, various forms of therapy (speech, occupational) taking estrogen, growth hormones and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
