2 Our Mission Statement To provide a standard to the professional diving community in which all services performed underwater are unified in the same practices. To address current NPS pollution issues, the Clean Water Act, and future environmental concerns. To provide a single focal point of contact for government agencies, organizations and the community with professional diving services in California. “Environmentally Conscious for the Health of our Industry.”

4 Water Facts Most of the Earth's water (some 97%) is stored in the ocean as salt water. Nearly all of the fresh water is frozen in the polar ice sheets; less than 1 % of the Earth's water is fresh and accessible in rivers, lakes or underground. About half of the U.S. population obtains its drinking water from rivers and lakes and the other half taps underground water sources. In the U.S., the five Great Lakes represent about 95% of all fresh water above ground.

13 BMP EDUCATION The CPDA has certified divers, boat owners and Harbor Police in San Diego, Dana Point, Marina del Rey, Santa Barbara and San Francisco.
