6 What’s not in the Modules We value other areas of writing instruction. Our “charge” was to provide curriculum directly linked to the shifts in instruction for teachers. Module lessons designed to last about an hour a day in grades 3-5; 45 minutes in grades 6-8. EngageNY.org6
