2. Background  Ed Sheeran’s real name is Edward Christopher Sheeran.  He was born on February 17 th,1991 and if twenty four years old.  He has a sibling called Mathew who is a music composer and is an inspiration to Ed.  Ed was born in Halifax, England and was raised in Suffolk.  His father is a lecturer and his mother is a jewelry designer.  Ed went to Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham.  Ed was always into music and when he was a bit older started sharing his likes with other people to and playing in the streets with his guitar.

3. Best songs/hits Ed is a singer-songwriter and has had many of his songs making it to the charts. These include:  The A Team- No.3  Lego house- No.5  Sing- No.1  Thinking Out Loud- No.1  Don’t- No.8 Ed started recording music in 2005 and then soon after released ‘The Orange Room’. To encourage his music career to go further he even moved to London in 2008. Ed travelled round and shared his music with everyone including going to LA and doing open mic concerts.

4. Information on Albums Ed has had lots of Albums and Singles released. His singles include:  Lego House  Kiss Me  You need me, I don’t need you  Small bump Some of these songs have been included in his Albums for example his latest one, X. Some of these songs have awarded Ed with a range of awards and have made him more popular.

5. Concerts/Festivals/Tours Ed has been all over the world and shared his music to many people. He has also been to many other artists concerts and sang with them such as:  Snow Patrol's Fallen Empires Tour,2012.  Taylor Swift's The Red Tour,2013.  The Rolling Stones Zip Code Tour,2015. Ed is doing a number of shows now on tour, many of which are in july,2015.

6. TV Appearances Ed has appeared on many TV shows to either advertise his new music or preform. He has appeared on many shows across the county and even abroad. He is also been seen on acting shows! Some of the appearance has been on:  Home and Away  Sesame Street  Alan Carr He has of course attended Billboard Awards, The Brits and many more.

7. Achievements Because of him attending many music awards, Ed has gained himself lots and lots of awards especially since he has being nominated for 124 all together including:  Best male video-Sing (2014).  British male solo (2015 and 2012).  Favourite male artist (2015). These are some of the nominations that he has been voted for over the range of music award shows.

8. Other Facts  All four of Ed’s guitars have names called: Felix, Lloyd, Cyril and Nigel.  He is 5’10” tall.  Ed wears size 10 shoes.  Ed has tattoos of a ketchup bottle and a cup of tea.  He sang with Elton John at the Grammy’s.
