Philosophy Student Development Theory Provide student with opportunities to work with faculty and staff. Create intentional interventions to enhance student learning and development. Design programs that encourage and create positive growth in students.

Effective Advising Strategies Be honest and open with all communication Provide feedback on their successes and challenges Utilize the co-curricular transcript leadership skill scale. Hold them accountable for their actions

Role & Responsibility Offer suggestions and perspective without demanding that organization follow everything Assist in developing goals Be aware of all plans and activities Discourage dominance by individual and encourage quieter student to take initiative
