4. How Safe is Splenda? o Over 20 years of evaluation o FDA approvals in 1998, 1999 o Approved for use in over 80 countries o Multiple studies found sucralose poorly absorbed (15%) o Only 2-3% metabolizes

So What’s the Problem? o Discovered while researching pesticides o No large scale human studies o Most studies conducted by manufacturers o FDA denied approval for 10 years o Studies show up to 27% not excreted o Chlorine highly toxic if broken down o Numerous side effects in case studies o Actually does contain some calories

6. Conclusion Trusted organizations prove Splenda is safe. Toxic chlorine may be absorbed into the body. Splenda should be used minimally, if at all.
