Producer/Manufacturer The company who produces/creates the product(s) that will be sold to the market

Agent Does not own the goods they sell Brings buyers and sellers together Independent Manufacturer RepBroker -Paid for what they sell- Paid commission - Negotiate - Look for new customers

Wholesaler Wholesalers Buy large quantities from manufacturers Store the goods Resell goods to other businesses Take title to the goods they sell for resale Rack Jobbers Manage the inventory Count stock, maintain displays Provide racks for display Bill retailer for goods sold CDs, cosmetics Drop Shippers Own the goods they sell Do not physically handle the merchandise or product Shipped directly to buyers Deals in large quantity bulk Coal, chemicals, lumber
