Vocabulary Before we begin, you need to know and understand some key vocabulary words. Horizon line Vanishing point Vertical Horizontal

Horizon Line A horizon line is an imaginary line that divides the earth and the sky.

Vanishing Point An imaginary dot where lines will “disappear”.

Vertical A vertical line is a line that goes straight up and down.

Horizontal A horizontal line is a straight line that goes left to right.

Drawing a Street Draw a horizon line and a vanishing point. Draw two lines to the vanishing point.

Drawing a Building Draw a vertical line along the left side of the street.

Continue with another vertical and 2 horizontal lines.

Draw 2 lines from the inner corners to the v.p.

Draw a vertical line to “close” the building in.

Add vertical and horizontal lines to the FRONT of your building to represent windows and doors.

Side windows and doors use only vertical lines and lines from the vanishing point.

Erase the lines that you do not need.

Continue on the other side and you will have a street scene!
