Upgrade Advisor Uses information about GaPSC approved programs to advise about “new field” upgrades Provides advice about degrees that –Support “in-field” upgrades –Are offered by approved institutions

Upgrade Advisor Sources of information… For New field upgrade – GaPSC database of approved initial certification programs For In-field Upgrade – GaPSC database of accepted advanced degree programs, list of USG degree programs, and degrees submitted to GaPSC by institutions for possible inclusion in the Advisor. Degrees are vetted and aligned to certification fields by GaPSC Certificate Upgrade Review Committee

HiQ, Equity, MySPA HiQ is “open for business” MySPA went live with 2013 data on Friday, February 1. “Equity” is being readied – Received data last week – Go live by Friday, February 8.

ACRES You can now update an educator’s “profile” – name & address Email address is required Now checking for one unremediated “UNSAT”

ExpressLane Revision in mid-February Update educator’s “profile” Email address will be required Simplified transaction choices Allow file upload (TIF or PDF) Fax will remain an option

UNSAT Rule 505-2-.24 STANDARD RENEWAL CREDIT “The PSC shall maintain a central clearinghouse of information on Georgia educators receiving annual unsatisfactory performance appraisals or annual performance remediation. Each local school system is required to report this information on or before June 30 of the academic year in which the appraisal or remediation occurred. The local system superintendent is responsible for ensuring that this information is provided in an accurate and timely manner.”

UNSAT Certificate renewal “protection” currently in ACRES IF educator has one unremediated UNSAT… THEN the operator must assert a second UNSAT will not happen in order for ACRES renewal to proceed Keep your UNSATs update to date! Superintendent Sign-off in June Assert that all UNSATs have been reported OR assert that there were no UNSATs to report
