During the period from June 5, 2013 and July 9, 2014 was carried out the following activities:  Download and digitizing maps mean temperature, mean relative humidity (INIFAP) and precipitation outlook (SMN- CNA)  Drafting weather warnings of phenomena that have occurred during the period mentioned: 32 hurricanes 32 hurricanes of Season 2013 14 in the Atlantic Ocean 18 in the Pacific Ocean 21 hurricanes 21 hurricanes of Season 2014 5 in the Atlantic Ocean 16 in the Pacific Ocean 56 Cold fronts 56 Cold fronts of the Season 2013-2014 2 Cold fronts 2 Cold fronts of the Season 2014-2015 RESUME

CARTOGRAPHIC INFORMATION - ELABORATION Digital downloads of various entities that manage climate and weather, such as Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Forestales, Agrícolas y Pecuarias and National Weather Service of Mexico are performed, which create these products based on the data generated from the daily compilation their seasons. Once you have the above product, digitization of these images is done using specialized software to create maps and generate vector files used in climate-plant mapping.

Also other vector inputs such as cyclones, tropical storms, cold fronts, low pressure channels, high winds, hail, and thunderstorms are handled, among others. The areas of instability as depressions, tropical storms and hurricanes as well as paths and scattering wind are obtained directly link the National Hurricane Center (NOAA) and the Model Aerobiological Hysplit respectively, while the rest of meteorological phenomena are obtained from the page of the National Weather Service of Mexico (SMN). Significantly, the information obtained from SMN is digitized in a similar maps obtained at the site of INIFAP process.

CLIMATE CONDITIONS IN MEXICO WITH GREAT AFFECTATIONS OF DROUGHT By 2013 the epidemiological regions most affected by drought in Mexico were the Mexican Plateau and Northeast. The months had higher surface involvement of this phenomenon were February, March, April, May and June, with moderate to extreme dryness and even in some municipalities in northern Mexico exceptional drought. Conversely months were less affected November and December. In what has transpired this year 2014, epidemiological Mexican Plateau and Mediterranean regions have been those that have shown most impact of this phenomenon, ranging from severe drought his Exceptional up from the month of May; however, during the last 3 months, the Mexican Plateau, Northwest Gulf of California and Mediterranean regions have severe to extreme drought. It is noteworthy that about 43% of the national land area presented dry conditions until the end of August, a percentage that has remained constant for about 3 months (CNA, 2014).

CLIMATE BULLETIN It is a monthly publication in which the phytosanitary status of pests that are present in Mexico, which are available on the Coordinated Pest Surveillance and Epidemiology (SCOPE) system is analyzed. In the paper, the conditions of relative humidity prior to the issuance of the same month, precipitation of the current month and the average temperature of the last half of the previous month and the first of the month and analyze natural phenomena that affected the country in the latter period, from Cold Fronts to cyclones. Once this integrated climate information are analyzed for each of the pests present, establishing a particular risk (from minimum, low, moderate, high or contingency) so you can have a tool for decision making.
