SOLAR ENERGY CONOR DURDOCK AND CHRIS PIZZOLA
2
PROS OF USING SOLAR POWER -The first benefit of solar energy is that it is 100% renewable, completely free, and unlimited. -Solar energy is also very beneficial to the environment because it does not produce greenhouse gases or pollution
3
DISADVANTAGES OF USING SOLAR ENERGY - The materials and equipment needed to create the solar energy is highly costly. - The demand is low in most countries making the price really high.

5
SOURCE OF SOLAR ENERGY -The energy emitted from the suns core. -When the rays leave the sun and penetrate the PV cells (Photovoltaic) they find the energy in the light and directly converts it to electrical energy.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -Solar energy has existed ever since things could be warmed by solar rays. -Leonardo da Vinci made the first sketches of a welding tool powered directly by the focus of direct sunlight. -In 1767 someone directed the sun rays enough to create an oven hot enough to safely cook food.
