Is Your Name Written There? “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."
2
There’s Something in a Name! Names are special! –Some say—”There is nothing in a name.” –Some say—”There IS something in a name.” –Some say—”One church is as good as another.” Why do we have names? –How confusing would it be if we all had the same name? –Names identify and specify.
3
Names Are Special! Your name is special. Where has it appeared? – Birth certificate? School records? Newspaper? – Tax records? Mailing lists? – Employment records? Where your name appears… – Could be a place of honor or dishonor ! Is your name “written in Heaven?”
4
Does God Keep Records? If he does… –I want my name to be there! –What about you? If he does not… –The Bible is wrong, and this lesson is pointless. What “saith the Scriptures?”
5
“Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.’ And He said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.’” Luke 10:17,18 Jesus Confirmed That He Does!
6
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 Jesus Confirmed That He Does!
7
“Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven.” Luke 10:20 Jesus Confirmed That He Does!
8
“And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.” Philippians 4:3 Paul Confirmed That He Does!
9
“To the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect.” Hebrews 12:23 Scripture Confirms That He Does!
10
One’s Name Can Be Blotted Out! Who is this? –Those who have sins of which they have not repented! “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.” {Revelation 3:5}
11
This fact refutes the Calvinistic doctrine known as: –Perseverance of the Saints—the “P” of the “Tulip” Theory. “Once Saved—Always Saved” “Impossibility of Apostasy” “Eternal Security” One’s Name Can Be Blotted Out!

Calvinist Quotes “ We take the position that a Christian's sins do not damn his soul. The way a Christian lives, what he says, his character, his conduct, or his attitude toward other people have nothing whatever to do with the salvation of his soul... All the prayers a man may pray, all the Bibles he may read, all the churches he may belong to, all the services he may attend, all the sermons he may practice, all the debts he may pay, all the ordinances he may observe, all the laws he may keep, all the benevolent acts he may perform will not make his soul one whit safer; and all the sins he may commit from idolatry to murder will not make his soul in any more danger...The way a man lives has nothing whatever to do with the salvation of his soul...The way I live has nothing whatsoever to do with the salvation of my soul.” ( Do A Christian's Sins Damn His Soul?, Sam Morris, First Baptist Church, Stamford, Texas).
13
Hiscox’s Standard Baptist Manual “ We believe the Scriptures teach that such are truly regenerate, being born of the Spirit, will not utterly fall away and finally perish, but will endure unto the end; that their preserving attachment to Christ is the grand mark which distinguishes them from superficial professors; that a special providence watches over their welfare; and they are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.” By Dr. Edward T. Hiscox, XII. The Perseverance Of Saints, page 140

Quotes from Baptist Preachers “If I killed my wife and mother and debauched a thousand women, I couldn’t go to hell…in fact, I couldn’t go to hell if I wanted to.” (Sam Morris) “ If I left my wife and ran off with a 16-year-old girl, God would work it out for my good.” (Hoyt Chastain quote during debate with A.C. Grider) Proposition affirmed by a Baptist Preacher, Kent Brandenburg, in a March, 2006 debate! “ The Scriptures teach that a child of God, one saved by the blood of Christ, cannot so sin as to be lost eternally in hell.“ FALSE DOCTRINE

Men’s Doctrines vs. God’s Word Sam Morris “…and all the sins he may commit from idolatry to murder will not make his soul in any more danger...The way a man lives has nothing whatever to do with the salvation of his soul...The way I live has nothing whatsoever to do with the salvation of my soul.“ The Apostle Paul “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-20)
16
“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:12,13 Departing From God!
17

23

25
“And the LORD said to Moses, ‘Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.’” Exodus 32:33 What God Said! These proof texts confirm that God does keep such records!
26
