What’s a memoir? Memoir (n.) \ˈmem-ˌwär, -ˌwȯr\ Definition:
1. an official note or report 2. a. a narrative composed from personal experience b. an autobiography c. a biography Example: Many retired politicians have written their memoirs. Synonyms: biography, history, diary

Why six words? A six word memoir is a piece of wisdom, or a snippet of one’s life, offered in only six words.

Where did this idea come from?
Once asked to write a full story in six words, legend has it that novelist Ernest Hemingway responded: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn.“ He later claimed it was his best work. What do you think Hemingway is trying to say in his memoir?
