Coffee Bread Recipe 1-3/4 cups sugar, plus more for sprinkling 3 packages dry yeast 1 tablespoon ground cardamom ½ teaspoon salt 1 stick plus 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened 2-1/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons milk 6-1/2 cups flour 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon 2 cups raisins 1-1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons chopped or slivered almonds 1 large egg
