Regional landscapes reflect the cultural characteristics of their inhabitants. This can be seen in the architectural structures used in a region, and in the statues and monuments of local, national, or global significance. Both have varied climate regions—they range from the tundra in Alaska to a tropical wet tropical wet climate in climate in Hawaii! Hawaii!

Religious places such as mosques are culturally preserved rather than destroyed because they are valuable in the Eastern culture. They are clustered in the Middle East and Indonesia where Islam is prominent. They are scattered throughout North America where people have relocated.
