Class Expectations The teacher expects for each student to: Try your best and meet artwork requirements Have a positive attitude Have good attendance & (avoid tardiness) Be helpful to others Be responsible for your actions and assignments

Have a complete understanding of the Elements and Principles of Art apply them in the assignments. Students will be able to become familiar with different artists and their styles. Grading Policies The following are Percentages of the final grade: DAILY ASSIGNMENTS – 50% TESTS – 50% 6 DAILY GRADE ASSIGNMENTS & 4 TESTS PER SIX WEEKS

Required Behavioral Expectations Arrive and be seated quietly Demonstrate respect for others and their work Demonstrate respect for Class Property, Materials and Equipment Follow Directions Follow all codes of Discipline as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct

Students are to be respectful to others and to the teacher. Students are to use art supplies ONLY as directed and intended. Students are to remain in their seats unless they are given permission.

Students are to respect seating arrangements given by the teacher. Students are allowed to go to the restroom only in an emergency. Students are required to keep their cell phones inside their back packs. Students are not allowed to bring any kind of food or makeup in class.

Consequences Consequences are based on the three – strike system. The student will be verbally warned on the first offense, seating changes may be arranged on the second and a strike will be given on the third. Additional strikes are earned as rules and procedures are broken. Parent contact will be made after the first strike. SEVERE CLAUSE: If student willfully inflicts harm upon another student, willfully destroys school or teacher property, or is insubordinate to the teacher, he or she will be sent directly to the office.

Always write your full name, date, and period on the back, upper right-hand side of your artwork very neatly. (NOTE: USE ONLY PEN!!! PENCIL,CRAYOLA OR MARKERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED- NO GRADE WILL BE GIVEN) At the beginning of class period, students are expected to be on time and seated quietly in their designated desk. Students are not allowed to sleep Teacher will not allow student to go to the office and call home if student forgot homework or project. (only emergencies) Teacher will only allow one student at a time to go the restroom with a pass. Student will write name on a restroom journal before going. Students will not be allowed to go anywhere without a pass.

Classroom Procedures Every week, teacher will choose a group as classroom helpers. Helpers will be responsible to distribute and pick up materials and making sure that everything is organized for the next class. All students will be responsible for his/her assignment.

Classroom Procedures All students are expected to cooperate in cleaning their own work area 10 min. before the bell. Teacher will supervise each student’s desk cleanliness to assure if class should be dismissed The bell will not dismiss students, teacher will. Students will not be allowed to stand in the door and wait for the bell. All students will push chairs in before leaving.

Fire Drill Procedures Alarm Rings Line Up Students are to quickly exit the building in a single file to assign area Teacher is last to leave the room Close the door behind you Be quiet at all times Stay with your class at all times Wait until it is safe to return to your classroom with your teacher

Lockdown Procedures A campus administrator will announce lockdown. Students must be in classroom Lock doors and turn off lights. Students should be quiet and out of view Take roll of students If all students are accounted for post Green status card Post Red status card in door window if there is a student missing and is somewhere else in school campus Cell phones are supposed to be off and not used at all
