Traditional religions The Ewe tribe worship a god by the name of Mawu. The followers believe that your deeds influence these gods. You must behave responsibly in order to co-habit with these gods. Juju is a god that defends the village, and wreaks vengeance on unrighteous people. Juju has special powers because he sits under some powerful herbs.
