5 Modern Human Communication Telecommunication network is the core: Telephone network The Internet etc. Exchange information via: Text Audio Video By using human-machine interface (HMI): Typing Clicking Touching Voice

6 Human-machine Interface Human HMI (Type, click, touch, voice) Machine (PC, Phone, tablet etc.)

7 Human-machine Interface Goal of HMI: Ease of interaction: voice command is easier then typing. Faster communication: : touching is faster than clicking when navigating Limitation: We still use the traditional remote control for TV.

8 What is beyond the current HMI? Gestures Eye Movements Brain Wave Other: Heart Beat, Pulse

9 Imagine A TV that would recommend a program for you by just analyzing your eye movements. Gesture controlling function in car. Human communication by just thinking.

10 Conclusion From the HMI point-of-view: Human bio-signals are going to be on of the main point in future network.
