2 Senior Design: Team Burja _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________  Completes two trips in 10 minutes, beginning when placed in the 40 x 40 cm starting area.  Carries 48 fluid oz. rice per trip (space constraint)  Maintain traction on plywood surface.  Maintain traction on flooring surface.  Able to deliver load and reconfigure to receive next load once returning to the loading area.  Delivers at least 85% of initial loaded rice Functional Performance Requirements

3 Senior Design: Team Burja _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________  Able to operate successfully after a 12” fall.  Operate off maximum 8 “AA”, “AAA”, “C”, or “D” 1.5 V batteries and two 9 V batteries (10 batteries total) OR ten 1.2 V rechargeable batteries and two 9 V batteries (12 batteries total).  Must traverse given course (3 up-steps of 4”-3.5”-3.5”, 90 deg right turn, 1 down-step of 4”, and vice-versa).  Must place weight sequentially on every step on each run to and from delivery area.  Must maintain weight on no more than two steps at a time. 5 Senior Design: Team Burja _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________  Must fit fully-assembled into a 25 x 25 x 30 cm box.  10 lbs. (fully loaded) target weight (constrained by available battery power and durability in event of a fall). Physical Requirements  Overall development and fabrication cost < $400  $100 contingency for unforeseen problems. Cost Requirements

6 Senior Design: Team Burja _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________  All manufactured components will be manufactured on equipment provided by AME 470 Ltd.  All other components will be outsourced from vendors.  Labor will not be outsourced. Manufacturing Requirements  Rechargeable batteries will be used for testing.  Disposable batteries will be disposed of properly. Environmental Impact Requirements
