GENESIS... “TNAGRISNET” portal was launched on 29 th July,2010. Modules on Seed, Fertilizer, Soil, Schemes etc., were deployed during Phase I Govt. of India have approved a sum of Rs.801.40 lakhs State, District and Block centres supported with systems and network Bagged the “Golden Award” for e-governance initiative for 2011

Farmer oriented services To provide value added services many new initiatives were taken since June’ 2011 Comprehensive Base line Data management of 82 lakh farmers Documenting “Soil Health Status” of all farmers over a period of 3 years Providing bouquet of “Crop Plan” options to farmers (Both online & offline) Input assessment and delivery Beneficiary tracking for transparent governance Online machinery rental booking system by IVR

Input Inventory Management – e-billing Information about input availability is vital today Static information will not serve the purpose Hence a server based inventory management is need of the hour As an ICT initiative 8 District Agricultural Extension Centres will be provided with customised Input Management application for uploading receipt/sale information

Input information retrieval by farmers A short code as well as an IVRS mode will be provided for retrieving the input availability both in public and private outlets

Sensitizing farmers about ICT During “Uzhavar Peruvizha” the ICT interventions will be shown to the farmers Farmer Friends will be roped in information dissemination and Technology Demonstration
