Registration process 4 Steps to get your Gov Internet Domain registered and activated Complete On-Line registration at www.dotgov.gov.www.dotgov.gov –Name of domain should be consistent with content –Each Point of Contact must be unique – no single point of failure –Each POC needs to create an account on the registration system DNS information must be complete –Each domain must have at least two Domain Name Servers –Host DNS must be updated before domain activation Authorization letter must be signed and transmitted –Authorization letter must be on Letterhead –Letter must be signed by Agency Head or the CIO –Please fax a copy of the letter prior to mailing to (540) 301-0160 Billing POC must pay for the Domain with a Credit Card After receipt of the authorization letter and DNS test pass an email will be generated allowing for the Domain to be paid and activated
