Technology and Education Connecting Cultures Slide 8 Summer Institutes 2005 Goal: Increase Collaboration Sichuan – August 5th to August 17th –90 teachers (60 English / 30 Computer) –20 students in “Life Forum” –17 volunteers (Tsinghua, PKU, Stanford, Pudong, HK) Gansu – July 19th to August 2nd –Second Year in Gansu –52 teachers (31 English / 21 Computers) –13 volunteers ( Tsinghua, PKU, Fudan) Qinghai – July 22nd to August 4th. –Collaborate with the SOAR Foundation –35 teachers (20 English / 15 Computer) –10 local middle school students in “Life Forum” –18 volunteers (Tsinghua, PKU, SH JiaoTong, Berkeley, Lynbrook HS)
