THE ROLE OF EXERCISE: Time pressures, frustrations, anger, anxieties and other work pressures can all take their toll on your mind and body. When the pressure is on, don’t allow the stress to build up and spoil your day. Just take some exercise!

EMOTIONAL WELLNESS: Having a positive mental state is directly linked to high-level wellness. Maintaining emotional stability is part of this dimension, as well as coping with stress, staying balanced and enjoying life.

SPIRITUAL FITNESS: This involves the development of the inner–self and one’s spirit. To feed the spiritual part of your body you need to occasionally take time out, to relax, to reflect and to identify the true sources of joy in your life.

INTELLECTUAL FITNESS: Involves the use of your mind. Maintaining an active mind contributes to total well-being. Continuous learning, creative and stimulating mental activities are essential throughout life.

SOCIAL FITNESS: Good friends, close family ties and trusting relationships are all part of high-level wellness. So try to balance work and home so that you can build such relationships.

TOTAL WELLNESS: Is a combination of all of these dimensions. Neglecting any dimension weakens the balance that leads to high-level wellness. Through working to improve each area and following healthy lifestyle choices, you will be working towards total wellness and a higher quality of life.
