The Formulate2 Dairy Ration Optimizer Power + Simplicity = Productivity
2
Thank you for your interest in Formulate2 We hope you find this presentation helpful and informative.

Full NRC 2001 Compliance Full implementation of the NRC 2001 modeling equations means that optimized solutions are precisely controlled to produce the kind of balanced rations you’re looking for. No short cuts have been taken and no compromises made. Formulate2 implements all aspects of the NRC 2001 model. Click Here
5
Full NRC 2001 Compliance With full NRC 2001 compliance, your formulation results are what you expect them to be. Click Here
6
Conventional Least Cost Optimization With no entries in any tag column field, Formulate2 performs conventional least cost formulations. Click Here
7
Tagged Group Least Cost Optimization All items marked in the tag field will be treated as a cost group and the objective at optimization time will be to minimize the total cost of the group. To tag a feed item, click on the tag field and press any key. Click Here
8
Powerful Amino Acid Constraint Options Constrain AAs as a percentage of Metabolizable Protein… …and in ratio to one another. Click Here
9
Fully User Controlled Constraint Binding Click Here You have complete control over constraint enforcement at optimization time. Only items marked in the Bind field will be enforced. To bind a constraint, click on its bind field and press any key. User minimums and maximums override NRC minimums and maximums on all constraints.
10
Premix Least Costing Click Here After selecting the feeds for the premix from the ration solution, their combined analysis is placed on the Feed Clipboard then imported into the ration record with this menu option. The constraints are then bound.
11
Premix Least Costing Once the constraints are set, select Solve 3x Values from the Formulate menu and a linear optimization based on the 3x static coefficients will be performed. Click Here
12
Optional User Constraint Typing Click Here Formulate2 allows you to create alternate ways of describing your nutrient constraints by giving you the option of defining user types for individual nutrients
13
Click Here The types you define are available by clicking on the Type column and selecting from the drop down list the type you wish to use. Optional User Constraint Typing
14
User Defined Nutrients Click Here You can add nutrients to the nutrient list or edit existing nutrient items. Each time you make a change in the nutrient list, Formulate2 automatically updates its tables to implement the changes. Nutrient items that are specific to the NRC 2001 model or have other special functions cannot be edited or deleted.
15
User Defined Reports Click Here You can create reports the way you want them with the Report Formatter. In fact, the standard report set provided with Formulate2 was created with the Report Formatter. You can change the reports in the standard report set, create you own reports or mix and match – any way you want it.
