3 Habitat  The Fairy penguin (also known as Little Blue), needs its surroundings to be very cold.  Fairy penguins live in the southern hemisphere.  They live on rocky Antarctic islands South of Australia, coastlines of New Zealand and in Tasmania.

4 Appearance  When they are babies they look like little fuzz balls.  Full grown they are between fourteen and twenty inches tall and weigh between 2.2 pounds to 6.6 pounds.  Fairy penguins have short blue feathers and it is the smallest of all the penguins.

5 Diet  The fairy penguins eat krill.  They also eat small fish  Their predators are leopard seals, killer whales and sharks.
