4 How Do I Write A Grant? Begin with an idea. How will your project benefit Michigan residents and visitors? Conduct some research to locate the Grants Maker who might fund your project. Examine what the agency has funded in the past. Go through the previous winner projects to see what they did and how what you are planning can be funded.

6 What Do I Do When I Find a Grants Maker for My Project? Begin drafting the Four Key Components for your project for use as your Boilerplate: –Need –Plan of Operation –Budget –Evaluation
