LOIS MAILOU HAS MADE MANY OF PAINTING EVER SENSE THE 1930s. HOW? SHE MADE PAINTING THAT TRANSFORMED LIVES. HER PAINTINGS MEAN THE SAME THING AS SONGS AND ETC MEANT TO OTHERS. IT’S THE WAY SHE EXPRESSES HERSELF. HER ART REFLECTED ON MANY OTHERS DURING THE HARLEM RENAISSANCE.

LOIS MAILOU WAS MAKING PAINTING TO EXPRESS HOW SHE FELT ABOUT DISCRIMATION IN HER HOME TOWN. SOME ONE IN HER CLASS THAT SHE WAS TEACHING INFLEUCED HER TO MAKE THE PAINTING SHE MADE IN HER PAST SHE INFLUENCED MANY OF AMERICANS AND PEOPLE GOING THROUGH THE HARLEM RENISSANCE. SHE THEN KNEW SHE WASN’T THE ONLY ONE WITH THE EXPRESSION TO PAINT AND TEACH WHAT SHE FELT
