Key Words: Algebraic Expression: An expression that contains at least one variable. Ex. 2x 3x 2 + 3y – 5 Like Terms: Terms with the same variables raised to the same exponents. Ex. 4x 2 and 3x 2 Are 3xy and 4x? Ex. 4x 2 and 3x 2 Are 3xy and 4x?

Multiplication is not necessarily first. Same with Addition and Subtraction.
