iPod classic All iPods have five buttons, integrated into the click wheel — a design which gives an uncluttered, minimalist interface. The buttons are: Menu: to traverse backwards through the menus, toggle the backlight on older iPods, and jump to the main menu on newer iPods Center: to select a menu item Play / Pause: this doubles as an off switch when held Skip Forward / Fast Forward Skip Backwards / Fast Reverse

Storage capacity varies by model, ranging from 2 GB for the iPod shuffle to 160 GB for the iPod classic. Video games are playable on various versions of iPods. The original iPod had the game Brick. Later revisions of the iPod added three more games: Parachute, Solitaire, and Music Quiz.

Apple's iTunes software It can be used to transfer music to the devices from computers. iTunes and its alternatives may also transfer photos, videos, games, contact information, e-mail settings, Web bookmarks, and calendars to iPod models supporting those features.

iTunes Store The iTunes Store (introduced April 29, 2003) is an online media store run by Apple and accessed through iTunes.
