2. Before You Start Use with SJC laptops. Must have broadband (DSL, Cable Modem) service to access the internet. Regular dial-up is too slow. Most advantageous when using email for an extended period of time.

3. Computer Requirements Requires Microsoft Windows XP SP1 with MS Knowledge Base article 331320 updates or a later Service Pack. Requires Microsoft Outlook 2003 because it supports connections to Exchange Server 2003 by using RPC over HTTP. RPC allows you to remotely access your Exchange server account from the Internet.

4. Go to Tools…Email Accounts

6. Click Change…

7. Click More Settings…

8. Click Adv and check “Use Cached Exchange Mode”

9. Cached Exchange Mode Users with large mailboxes may not want to use the Cached Exchange Mode. The Cached Exchange Mode stores a copy of your mailbox on your computer. The copy provides quick access to your data and is frequently updated with the mail server.

10. Click Connection, check “Connect to my Exchange…”

11. Click the Exchange Proxy Setting button

12. Select the settings below

13. Finish Click Ok. In the next window click Ok. Click the Next button and then click Finish in the last window
