E-learning programs: course description - System Requirements - OS : Windows2000/XP ( SP2) ( Not compliant with Windows Vista and Mac ) - Browser: Internet Explorer 5.5SP2 / 6.0 / 6.0 SP1 、 Netscape Navigator 4.7X - Japanese environment Texts are only in Japanese. - Adobe Flash Player 7.x or later Java script enabled in the browser Adobe Acrobat Reader

E-learning programs: course description - Available time : 24 hours a day - Term : about 3 month - Support: receive questions and send encouragement by e-mail - Self check: check on your own progress and level of understanding - Questionnaire: course evaluation questionnaire at the end of the course

E-learning programs: FY2008 - A new course developed in FY2007 “ Introduction to science and technology information ” material revised based on what was used for group training - Start in FY20 08 - publicity via the NDL website and e-mail newsletters - plan to expand the number of participants

E-learning programs: in future - A new course will be developed in FY2008 to start in FY2009 - 5 or 6 courses a year will be provided - Old materials will be revised - Development of additional courses will be considered

E-learning programs: challenges - Because of high needs, we hope to increase number of courses and of participants - Systematization: role sharing between E- learning and group training - E-learning : basics; contents suitable for self-study - Group training : practice; course requiring a close look at the materials
