Some terms will have definitions only: What is “voice” in poetry?

Voice: “The emotional coloring” readers get from the speaker of the poem.

Some questions will ask you to identify your knowledge of the definition to an example: What literary term is present in the line, “When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s amore!”

This is an example of simile: comparing two things using the words like or as: “When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie” is comparing the moon to a pizza pie (it’s similar roundness or shape).
