Tlingit Makah Quileute These are some of the main tribes in the North East Coast. There are many more but these are just a few.

Men- Didn’t normally wear clothes. Sometimes wore breech clouts Women-Only wore short skirts Winter- In the winter the Indians used animals skin and fur for warmth.

The climate was usually warm and mild or sometimes cold. The terrain was mountainous lots of plateaus.

The Indians gather wild food, fish, hunt, and plant crops to survive since seasons there are so quick. They have to get used to the cold temperatures and then straight to extremely hot weather

Believed in spirits They believed that everything in nature has a spirit Held festivals every year to worship and honor the spirits

These Native Americans usually lived in cedar plank houses. Most of them had flat roofs. Some had minor slopes.

Fished for salmon and sturgeon in rivers seals whales and shellfish in the sea and hunted game animals and ate nuts berries and wild roots from the forest

All of these people used canoes some up to 60 ft. long They walk from village to village. They used canoes so much because of there main food source
