2. Middle School Life as an 8 th Grader Change classes every hour 45 minutes, 8 classes Member of 1 of 3 “Teams”  Cre8ors, G8ors, Motiv8ors “Team” consists of 4 core subject areas  Math, Comm. Arts, Social Studies, Science & Homeroom/Resource Students choose elective classes in addition to required core classes A Day/B Day schedule

3. Required Classes – Every Day Math Communication Arts Social Studies Science Homeroom/Resource (w/ one of student’s team teachers)

4. Health Physical Education Required Classes - Every Other Day

5. Elective Options Choose 5, receive 4  Fill in purple sheet, and return to 7 th grade homeroom teacher by Wednesday, January 18 th Spanish Continuing Spanish 2 (meets everyday-2 elective choices) French (must have taken in 7 th grade) Music (Band, Chorus, Orchestra, General Music) Art Tech Ed Gateway to Technology FACE Classes may be scheduled for any hour of the day

6. Reminders Return signed purple elective sheet to homeroom teacher by Wednesday, January 18 th No more changes after Friday, April 27 th  earlier the better, and no guarantees Schedules will be mailed home during the summer (August)
