3.  Hi!  We are doing a project about the best place to live.  Many British people think that Edinburgh is the best place to live in the UK.  What is the best place to live in Russia?  What interesting things and places are there? What can you do there? What are your favourite places in your town? Why? What are the people like? What makes your hometown special?

4.  First, Ivanovo was a big village.  It was mentioned in Russian chronicles in 1561.  The inhabitants were fishing, hunting and trading.  Their main occupation was making cloths.  The city of Ivanovo was founded in 1871.  Ivanovo is one of the main textile centers of Russia.
