What makes a Rainforest? Rainforests are very dense, warm and wet forests They are havens for millions of plants and animals They are very important in the ecology of the Earth as the plants of the rainforest generate much of the Earth’s oxygen Rainforests have a canopy. Rainfall: 80 inches of rain per year Some rainforests receive up to an inch of rain a day.

Where are the Tropical Rainforests located around the world? Rainforests are found close to the equator They are found between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Tropic of Cancer.
