2 Project Overview Select and integrate with AYUSHMAN testbed a Non-Invasive Blood Pressure (NIBP) monitoring system that measures: – Systolic Pressure – Diastolic Pressure – Arterial Pressure – Heart Rate – Broadcast procured data over a wireless network to specified remote Host station and PDAs.

3 NIBP Device Selection Criteria Measures: Systolic, Diastolic, and Arterial Pressure, and Heart Rate Measures: Systolic, Diastolic, and Arterial Pressure, and Heart Rate Bi-Directional RS-232 Communication Bi-Directional RS-232 Communication Meets Medical Standards Meets Medical Standards Energy-Efficient Energy-Efficient Motion-Tolerant Motion-Tolerant

8 Battery Life Voltage Use Voltage Use The device operates between 6vdc and 14.5vdc. The device will not operate when the voltage is below 5.3vdc. Starting with a voltage of 6vdc the device will operate 20 times between battery changes, the batteries would sustain the amps required, but the voltage would drop to 5.3vdc. When changed to 9vdc the last count of successful operation was 45 times and counting. The team used off the shelf plastic battery holder that hold AA cells, with standard snap connection for ease of change. The device operates between 6vdc and 14.5vdc.
