Audacity Recording Steps o Download and install the current version of audacity software – 1.2.6 version on your Mac or Window PC. o Check the preferences dialog box to set the audio I/O – input and output for recording and playback - Stereo. o For quality sound, select 44,100 Hz sample rate. o File formats to 16bit PCM. Clicking the MP3 library will indicate that audacity does not export files directly but uses LAME to export Wav or AIFF files. o Download audacity LAME MP3 Encoder to enable audacity to export MP3 Files.
