3 History 1996- Launched J. Crew website 1997- J. Crew is sold to Texas Pacific Group 2003- Millard “Mickey” Drexler joing J.Crew as chairman and CEO.

4 History 2006- Introduced Madewell, a modern interpretation of American denim label which was founded in 1937 2010- Madewell.com launched, which drove sales

5 History 2011- In August, J. Crew went global and opened their first store in Canada. 2012- Opened e-commerce site to over 100 countries in early 2012 and began scouting oversea locations for brick-and-mortar stores.
